Following is the transcript of the remarks by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, at a media session after attending a sharing session with students on constitutional development at Belilios Public School today (May 19):

Chief Secretary for Administration: In various meetings, I have been asked to convey the wish of certain pan-democrats who wish to meet with Central People's Government representatives. We have conveyed those wishes and I hope a meeting can materialise as soon as possible because I believe very much that communication is important. The ability to communicate on a multi-party basis will enhance and encourage the pan-democrats to support the constitutional development package of 2012.
