The Town Planning Board today (May 7) announced amendments to the approved Tseung Kwan O Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
An area covering the South East New Territories Landfill in Area 101, a site in Area 137 and a site to be excised from the Clear Water Bay Country Park have been rezoned to "Open Space (2)". The zone is intended primarily for the provision of open space to serve the needs of local residents as well as the general public after the decommissioning and restoration of the landfill site.
In Pak Shing Kok, an area has been rezoned to "Government, Institution or Community ('G/IC') (7)" and "G/IC (8)" with stipulation of building height restrictions for the development of a fire services training school cum driving training school and a private hospital respectively.
Other amendments mainly involve making technical amendments to the Notes of the OZP.
The draft Tseung Kwan O OZP No. S/TKO/18, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in the North Point and Sha Tin Government Offices, the Sai Kung and Islands District Planning Office, Sai Kung District Office and the Tseung Kwan O Sub-office of Sai Kung District Office.
Any person may make written representations in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Board on or before July 7. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.
Copies of the draft Tseung Kwan O OZP No. S/TKO/18 are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the plan can be viewed at the Board's website at www.info.gov.hk/tpb.
