In view of the persistent increase in the demand for blood from hospitals, in particular type A and type O blood, the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) appeals to those who are in the type A or O blood group to donate blood immediately. To ensure an adequate supply of blood, some 1,000 people (in particular those who have type A or O blood) are urgently needed every day to donate blood.
Every minute counts in saving lives. Many patients are waiting for type A or O blood – please act immediately!
