Government assists family of victim of Qinghai quake

     Regarding a Hong Kong resident who was killed during the earthquake in Qinghai, the Beijing Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region today (April 15) deployed an officer to Qinghai to meet the deceased's family members to provide practical assistance with the help of local authorities.　The Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Unit (AHU) of the Immigration Department is also in close contact with the family members in Hong Kong to provide assistance.  Other than this assistance case, the AHU has not received any new assistance case.

     Residents outside Hong Kong who need assistance may call the AHU's 24-hour hotline (852) 1868.
