CE mourns departure of Dr Tsui Tsin-tong

     The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, today (April 2) expressed profound sadness at the death of Dr Tsui Tsin-tong, a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

     ˇ§A prominent business leader, Dr Tsui was a renowned philanthropist and a distinguished collector of relics and cultural artifacts. He made laudable efforts and provided generous endowments for cultural causes in Hong Kong.  Dr Tsui was involved in the preparatory work for the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and made solid contributions for the smooth transition of Hong Kong,ˇ¨ Mr Tsang said.

     Dr Tsui was awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star in 2001.

     The Chief Executive offered his condolences to Dr Tsuiˇ¦s family and expressed gratitude for his contribution to Hong Kong.
