Police are investigating a traffic accident in North Point this afternoon (March 2) in which a 40-year-old woman was killed.
About 1.17pm, a public light bus driven by a 54-year-old man was travelling along King's Road towards Shau Kei Wan. As the public light bus was approaching the junction of Westlands Road, it reportedly knocked down the 40-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining head injuries, the woman was taken to Eastern Hospital where she was certified dead at 4.18pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island, are under way.
