Fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po

     Police are investigating a traffic accident in Sham Shui Po this morning  (February 28) in which a 68-year-old man was killed.

     About 11.07am, a taxi driven by a 29-year-old man was travelling along northbound Nam Cheong Street. When reaching the junction of Ki Lung Street, it reportedly knocked down the 68-year-old man who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining serious injuries, the 68-year-old man was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 8.39pm.

     The 29-year-old driver was arrested for dangerous driving at the scene. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

     Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West.
