The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, and Mrs Selina Tsang sent Lunar New Year greetings to Hong Kong people via the electronic media and the Internet today (February 13).
"The Chinese New Year holiday is the sweetest moment for me. In this festive season, we can stay at home and offer best wishes to one another. I hope that all Hong Kong people, regardless of age, position and views, can savour the happiness and tranquility with their loved ones," Mr Tsang said.
Mr and Mrs Tsang wished Hong Kong people a harmonious family and good health in the Year of the Tiger.
The Chief Executive's message will be broadcast on television and radio stations from today to Tuesday (February 16). It has also been posted on the Chief Executive's website (www.ceo.gov.hk/lny_message10/eng/index.htm) starting at noon today.
