Police are investigating a traffic accident in Western District this morning (January 28) in which a 76-year-old man was killed.
A 24-year-old male driver parked his truck on the uphill direction of No 9 Sandy Bay Road about 10.18am. The truck later reversed and hit a private car which then hit its 76-year-old male driver.
The man sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital, where he was certified dead at 2.34pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are under way.
