EMSD takes LPG samples for testing (with photo)

     The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) today (January 7) continues investigation into the LPG engine stalling incident and collected  LPG samples from three filling stations in Tai Po, Ma On Shan and Yuen Long as well as a LPG terminal in Tsing Yi for laboratory testing.

     A spokesman for EMSD said: "The department will continue to send staff to take random samples of LPG from dispensing nozzles at filling stations in Hong Kong for laboratory testing every week."

     The EMSD hotline received 13 LPG engine stalling cases today.

     The Task Force set up on the engine stalling incident is conducting a thorough and full investigation in an open and transparent manner. Relevant findings and measures will be released as soon as possible in different stages.
