Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City

     Police today (December 29) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Kowloon City on December 18 in which a 46-year-old male pedestrian was killed.

     A public light bus driven by a 35-year-old man was travelling along Sung Wong Toi Road about 6.30pm on December 18. After turning right in Ma Tau Chung Road towards Kwun Tong, the vehicle hit the 46-year-old man at the junction of Fu Ning Street.  

     Sustaining head injuries, the man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 6.40pm on December 21. The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He was allowed to bail out pending further enquiry.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, are proceeding.
