The Labour Department will hold a three-day job fair at 2/F, Main Block, Y Studio of Youth Square, 238 Chai Wan Road, Chai Wan, between Tuesday and Thursday (December 8 and 10) from 11am to 5.30pm.
A total of 48 companies will participate in the fair, with 16 participating companies on each day. They will offer more than 2,400 vacancies and will set up counters and conduct on-the-spot recruitment.
The companies are from various industries including catering, property management and retail. Vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions such as shop supervisor, sales, shop assistant, cook, waiter/waitress and security guard. More information about the vacancies is available on the department's Interactive Employment Service website (www.jobs.gov.hk).
More than 80% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs. Most of them offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. More than 95% of the vacancies require Form 5 education level or below. Around 70% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience.
Job seekers may submit job applications and have the opportunity for a selection interview on-the-spot. The Labour Department will also conduct on-the-spot registration of job seekers.
Admission is free of charge. All members of the public are welcome.
