The 2009 East Asian Games (Hong Kong) Limited announced today (December 5) that a football athlete of Macau, China was confirmed today to have infected with human swine influenza (HSI). The football athlete had sought treatment in the hospital. His condition was stable and returned to Macau for rest tonight.
The rest of the 21 Macau, China football team members had sought medical consultation and no other member has any HSI symptom. The team management will continue to pay attention to their health condition. The hotel, where the Macau, China football team is staying, has arranged cleaning and disinfection of its guest floor and public areas.
The Macau, China team will continue to compete in the EAG football competition.
