The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (November 27) on the construction of a proposed vehicular bridge from Shui Lau Tin Tsuen to Shek Kong Airfield Road, Yuen Long, which will serve to improve traffic at Shui Lau Tin Tsuen and Kam Tsin Wai, Yuen Long.
The proposed works include provision of a two-lane vehicular bridge with an associated footpath of two metres wide across Shek Kong Nullah; temporary closure and reconstruction of sections of the existing carriageways and footpaths; and
ancillary works such as drainage and landscaping works.
The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:
(i) Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong;
(ii) Yuen Long District Office, Public Enquiry Services Centre, Ground Floor, Yuen Long District Offices Building, 269 Castle Peak Road, Yuen Long; and
(iii)District Lands Office, Yuen Long, 9th Floor, Yuen Long Government Offices, 2 Kiu Lok Square, Yuen Long.
Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th Floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before January 26, 2010.
