Fatal traffic accident in Tsing Yi

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tsing Yi this morning (November 24) in which a 23-year-old man was killed.

     About 7.26am, three cars and a motorcycle were travelling in sequence on Tsing Kwai Highway towards Kowloon. Near Princess Margaret Hospital, the first two cars slowed down due to traffic conditions ahead. The third car and the motorcycle are believed to have failed to do so, causing a chain collision.

     The 23-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious chest injuries and was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 8am.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are under way.
