The Labour Department will hold a three-day job fair at 1/F, Exhibition Gallery, Sha Tin Town Hall, 1 Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin between Wednesday and Friday (November 25 and 27) from 11am to 5.30pm.
A total of 74 companies will participate in the fair. There will be 25 participating companies each on the first two days, and another 24 companies on the last day. They will offer more than 4,200 vacancies and will set up counters and conduct on-the-spot recruitment.
The companies are from various industries including catering, retail, property management, communication and business services. Vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions such as shop supervisor, sales, customer service officer, shop assistant, cook, waiter/waitress and security guard. More information about the vacancies is available on the department's Interactive Employment Service website (www.jobs.gov.hk).
More than 85% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs. Most of them offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. More than 90% of the vacancies require Form 5 education level or below. More than 60% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience.
Job seekers may submit job applications and have the opportunity for a selection interview on-the-spot. The Labour Department will also conduct on-the-spot registration of job seekers.
Admission is free of charge. All members of the public are welcome.
