Police today (November 10) charged a 28-year-old woman with one count of infanticide.
Officers of Shatin District Crime Squad arrested the woman yesterday (November 9) in connection with the death of a baby who was found lying on the clothes-drying rack outside a flat on On Luk Street in Ma On Shan.
The baby, attached with part of the umbilical cord, was certified dead at the scene by ambulancemen.
After investigation, the Police arrested a 28-year-old woman inside a flat on On Luk Street. Initial investigations revealed that the woman was suspected to have thrown the baby out the window from the flat after she gave birth to the baby boy.
The charged woman will appear in Shatin Magistracies' Courts tomorrow (November 11) for one court of infanticide.
