Roads closed and altered to facilitate MTR station improvement work

     Part of the footpath at Pei Ho Street near the junction at Cheung Sha Wan Road will be permanently closed and altered from December 1 to facilitate the improvement work of the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) Sham Shui Po Station. Parts of the footpath at Pei Ho Street near the junction at Cheung Sha Wan Road will be temporarily closed and altered for 18 months from December 1.  A new MTR external lift will be constructed.

     Parts of the footpath and a part of the carriageway at Cheung Sha Wan Road near the junction at Pei Ho Street will be temporarily closed and altered for 18 months from December 1.  

     Diversion of pedestrians will be implemented and a minimum 1.5 metre-wide footpath will be maintained during the construction period.

     Two notices in respect of the permanent or temporary closure and alteration have been published in the Government Gazette today (October 30).

     A plan showing the affected area is available for public inspection at the Public Enquiry Service Centre, Sham Shui Po District Office on Ground Floor, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road; and at the District Lands Office (Kowloon West) on 10/F Floor, Yau Ma Tei Carpark Building, 250 Shanghai Street.

     Any person who wishes to make a claim for compensation should write to the Director of Lands, 20th Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point.
