Footbridge connecting West Rail Nam Cheong Station and Fu Cheong Estate gazetted

     The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (October 23) on the construction of a footbridge connecting the future property development on West Rail Nam Cheong Station and Fu Cheong Estate.

     The proposed works include provision of a covered footbridge across Sham Mong Road near Yen Chow Street West connecting the future property development on West Rail Nam Cheong Station and Fu Cheong Estate; structural supports for the proposed covered footbridge; temporary closure of sections of the existing footpaths, carriageways and landscaping area; and ancillary works including associated utilities and reinstatement works.

     The plans and scheme are available for public inspection at the following places during office hours:

(i) Central and Western District Office,Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;

(ii) Sham Shui Po District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Ground floor, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Sham Shui Po; and

(iii) District Lands Office, Kowloon West, 10th floor, Yau Ma Tei Carpark Building, 250 Shanghai Street.

     Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16/F, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before December 22.
