Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate the holding of a parade in Kwun Tong on Sunday (October 18).
A. Road closure
The rightmost lane of Yue Man Square will be closed between 9am and 12.30pm and between 5pm and 6pm.
The following road closure will be implemented between 12.30pm and 5pm:
1. Yue Man Square;
2. Ngau Tau Kok Road between Ting On Street and Hong Ning Road;
3. Sheung Yee Road flyover;
4. Westbound Sheung Yee Road between Lam Fung Street and Cheung Yip Street;
5. Northbound Wang Chiu Road between Kwun Tong Bypass and Sheung Yee Road;
6. Northbound Wang Chiu Road between Hoi Bun Road and Sheung Yee Road;
7. Elegance Road;
8. On Shin Road (only one-way traffic to Chun Wah Road is permitted);
9. Luen On Street between Ngau Tau Kok Road and Yee On Street;
10. Horse Shoe Lane;
11. Southbound Tung Ming Street between Hang On Street and Ngau Tau Kok Road;
12. Yee On Street between Hong Ning Road and Tung Ming Street;
13. Southbound Hong Ning Road between Yue Man Square and Kwun Tong Road, except for public light buses heading for Kwun Tong Road slip road)
14. Fu Yan Street between Mut Wah Street and Yue Man Square, except for franchised buses and public light buses; and
15. Northbound Tung Yan Street between Kwun Tong Road and Yue Man Square.
Bus stops and minibus stands in the affected areas will be suspended until the roads are re-opened to vehicular traffic. Members of the public should pay attention to the temporary arrangements by public transport operators.
B. Suspension of taxi stand
The taxi stand at Yue Man Square will be suspended between 9am and 6pm.
C. Restriction on access to and exit from car parks
During the closure period of the affected section of Ngau Tau Kok Road from 12.30pm to 5pm, the access to/exit from the following car parks will be restricted:
1. Hung Cheuk House car park at Garden Estate;
2. Lotus Tower car park; and
3. Yue Man Centre car park.
D. Suspension of parking spaces
Between 12.30pm on October 17 and 5pm on October 18, the on-street metered parking spaces in Horse Shoe Lane and Shui Wo Street will be suspended.
Any illegally parked vehicles will be towed away. Motorists are urged to take heed of traffic signs and instructions by Police at the scene.
