| The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, visited an exhibition highlighting China's progress during the past 60 years today (October 2) in Beijing. He toured around the Hong Kong booth which forms part of the "One Country, Two Systems" section of the exhibition. Featuring a blooming bauhinia, the booth showcases Hong Kong's major economic and social developments in the past 12 years since its reunification with the Motherland. The booth consists of three parts - the Successful Implementation of "One Country, Two Systems" and The Basic Law; Hong Kong's Economic Achievements and Competitive Edge; and the Bond with the Motherland and Building of a Bright Future. Members of the Hong Kong delegation attending the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China also visited the exhibition today. |
