Police are investigating a traffic accident in Happy Valley early this morning (September 28) in which a 46-year-old man was killed.
At about 0.12am, a private car driven by the man was travelling along Wong Nai Chung Gap Road towards Wan Chai. When reaching near No. 12, Wong Nai Chung Gap Road, it reportedly lost control and rammed onto the central dividing bollard, then rebound to the left and hit the hillside kerb and a traffic sign before coming to a halt.
The 46-year-old driver sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to the Ruttonjee Hospital where he was certified dead at 3.19am.
Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island.
