The Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, will leave today (September 21) for Chengdu, Sichuan, to promote Hong Kong's business advantages and its role as an ideal springboard for Mainland enterprises to expand globally.
Mr So will officiate at the opening ceremony of an investment promotion seminar entitled "Hong Kong - Your Platform to Go Global" tomorrow (September 22). The seminar is part of Invest Hong Kong's three-year nationwide marketing campaign "On Your Marks, Get-Set, Go!" aimed at attracting Mainland enterprises to invest in Hong Kong. Since the campaign was launched in 2007, seminars have been held in Zhejiang, Shandong, Fujian and Jiangsu. Sichuan is the campaign's fifth destination.
Mr So will return to Hong Kong on Tuesday night.
