717 new cases of human swine influenza

     A spokesman for the Department of Health said there had been 717 newly confirmed cases of human swine influenza (Influenza A H1N1) (HSI) in the 24 hours to 2.30pm today (September 19).

     The new cases involve 393 males and 324 females, aged between 2 months and 85 years.

     This brings to 21,565 the total number of HSI cases in Hong Kong.

     The spokesman said that the total number of HSI cases might be revised according to further laboratory results.
