The ¡§Light and Shade: life passˆm in old estates¡¨ Photo and Video Exhibition presented by the Housing Authority (HA) will have its finale at Tuen Mun Town Hall starting on Sunday (August 23).
A spokesman for the Housing Authority invited people to grab the last chance to see the exhibition, which showcases a collection of photographic images and documentary videos of Shek Kip Mei Estate, So Uk Estate and Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate ¡V three historic public housing estates being demolished to make way for new developments. Through the photos and videos, visitors can see what life was like in the old estates and feel the neighbourliness among the residents.
The exhibition was launched in early July at the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre before moving to Pacific Place and Sha Tin Town Hall. It has so far attracted more than 18,000 visitors, many of whom were deeply touched by the exhibits.
The exhibition will be held at Tuen Mun Town Hall from August 23-30. Admission is free. Opening hours and other details are available at the Housing Authority/Housing Department Web Site (www.housingauthority.gov.hk).
