Pedestrian underpass for Polytechnic University gazetted

     The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (August 7) on construction of a pedestrian passage between the existing main campus and the future Phase 8 Development of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

     The proposed work will provide a pedestrian underpass of approximately 70 metres long, 7 metres wide and 3.5 metres high across and under ground level of Chatham Road South near the junction of Princess Margaret Road.

     The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

(i)  Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, G/F, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;

(ii) Yau Tsim Mong District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, G/F, Mong Kok Government Offices, 30 Luen Wan Street, Mong Kok; and

(iii) District Lands Office, Kowloon West, 10th Floor, Yau Ma Tei Carpark Building, 250 Shanghai Street.

     Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before October 6.
