Man charged with murder

Police today (June 26) charged a 49-year-old man with one count of murder.

He was arrested in Tung Chung yesterday (June 25) afternoon for allegedly attacking a 57-year-old woman in a flat in Ting Ling House, Lung Tin Estate earlier. The woman was subsequently certified dead by ambulance men at the scene.

A post-mortem examination showed that the woman died of multiple chop wounds.

The man will appear at Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (June 27).
