Extra screening of two films in children's film carnival
********************************************************

Extra screenings of "Dream Team" and "Amazon Jack 3 - Jungo Goes Bananas" at the "International Children's Film Carnival 2009" have been scheduled at 5.30pm on July 26 and August 9 respectively at the Cinema of the Hong Kong Film Archive, in response to popular demand.

The comedy "Dream Team" (2008) features 10 mischievous Thai boys taking part in a national tug-of-war competition, but their trainer is a soccer coach who knows nothing about the menace of naughty, squealing kids, not to say the parents who are even more uncontrollable than their sons.

"Amazon Jack 3 - Jungo Goes Bananas" (2007) is a film full of colourful illustrations and a cast of exotic jungle creatures which will thrill young kids.

The two films are accompanied with live Cantonese interpretation by professional dubbing artists Ms Pat Kwok Bik-chun and Mr Cheung Chun-shing.

Presented by the Film Programmes Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), the "International Children's Film Carnival 2009" is part of the annual International Arts Carnival (IAC). A total of 10 outstanding children's feature films and 23 animated shorts from around the world will be screened from July 3 to August 9 at the Lecture Hall of the Hong Kong Space Museum and Hong Kong Science Museum, and the Cinema of the Hong Kong Film Archive.

Tickets for most of the screenings have already sold out. A few tickets are still available for films such as the touching "Christmas Story" (2007), the funny "Ricky Rapper" (2008), the adventurous "Dayo" (2008), the 3D animation "Sing to the Dawn" (2008) and the Japanese animation "Chocolate Underground" (2009).

All the above films have English subtitles.

Tickets for the additional screenings priced at $44 will be available from tomorrow (June 5) at URBTIX outlets. Half-price concessionary tickets are available for full-time students, senior citizens aged 60 and above, people with disabilities and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients. Discounts from 10% to 20% for purchasing tickets of film programmes or performing arts of the IAC are also available.
