SED's remarks on fine-tuning of MOI policy
******************************************

Following is the transcript of the remarks made by Secretary for Education, Mr Michael Suen, today (May 30) on the fine-tuning of MOI policy (English portion):

Reporter: The Association of Hong Kong Chinese Middle Schools...

Secretary of Education: I heard that they have expressed their disappointment on certain aspects of the new policy. I think you have to recognize that different stakeholders have different views on the changes to the existing policy. We cannot entertain all the different requests. We believe we have found a balance, trying to meet the greatest of the public interests in the new policy. We have sent an email to the Association of Hong Kong Chinese Middle Schools last night, asking them if they are available for a meeting next week.

(Please also refer to the Chinese portion of the transcript.)
