The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, will attend the Expo Central China 2009 in Hefei, Anhui, this Saturday (April 25).
Mr Tsang will attend a welcome dinner hosted by the Expo on the day of arrival in Hefei. On Sunday (April 26), he will attend the opening ceremony of the Expo and deliver a speech at the Central China Business Summit.
During his stay in Hefei, the Chief Executive will hold bilateral meetings with provincial leaders attending the Expo.
Accompanying Mr Tsang on the visit will be the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Norman Chan; the Senior Special Assistant to Chief Executive, Mr Chan Kin-ping; the Deputy Private Secretary to Chief Executive, Mr Patrick Li; and the Assistant Director (Media), Mr Vic Yau.
Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong on Monday (April 27). During the Chief Executive's absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, will be the acting Chief Executive.
