| The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, meets Mayor of Taichung City, Mr Jason Hu, at Government House today (April 15). Mr Tsang noted that this was the first official delegation from the Taiwanese government to visit Hong Kong at the invitation of the Hong Kong SAR Government, which was a breakthrough in the relationship between the two places and signified that co-operation was brought to a new level. Mr Tsang and Mr Hu exchanged views on the latest development in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Both expressed the wish to strengthen exchanges and interaction between the two cities in areas such as economic development, finance, environmental protection, tourism, education and city management. |
