A newly produced corporate video of the Housing Authority is now available on its website, which also sees a new homepage equipped with enhanced navigation functions.
Entitled "Harmonious Homes for All", the video outlines the authority's mission and depicts how it strives to provide harmonious homes for the needy in Hong Kong. The English, Cantonese and Putonghua versions of the video, apart from being uploaded onto the Housing Authority website, have also been dubbed on DVDs and sent to all primary, secondary schools and major libraries in Hong Kong.
With about 20,000 pages of housing information in English and Chinese, the Housing Authority website averages about four million hits per month. The public can browse the website for diverse information about the Housing Authority, access the new video and many other housing related publications, as well as make use of the e-forms and online enquiry services.
The homepage of the website has been refurbished with a new look and feel to echo the video's theme of "Harmonious Homes for All". It comes with a more user-centric layout, with quick links built for the four categories of frequent users - public housing applicants, public housing tenants, commercial tenants, and contractors and suppliers. The property search function has also been enhanced to allow users to locate public housing estates, Home Ownership Scheme courts and the Housing Authority's shopping centres precisely on a detailed map.
A spokesman for the Housing Authority said today (April 9), "The website serves as an important vehicle for disseminating housing information to the public. We will keep on improving its design and functions to ensure users can find what they need more quickly and more conveniently. We will also launch more e-services as they come on board."
