This is a work done by an art student studying at the Visual Arts Academy of the Hong Kong Baptist University. The piece is entitled "Mixing" which consists of a couplet. It looks like a traditional Chinese handscroll but instead of ink, the student used real coffee and milk tea as substitute to create the words. One with "mixing coffee" written by milk tea and the other with "mixing milk tea" written by coffee. As Hong Kong is famous for its food culture and coffee-milk-tea is a popular drink in Hong Kong, it is representative of the diverse nature of Hong Kong's culture and of its people's experimental spirit in integrating different cultural elements to create their own unique style.
