Applications invited for Kowloon Park Arts Fun Fair stalls

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) is inviting individuals and subvented non-governmental organisations to apply to operate a new round of Arts Fun Fair stalls at Kowloon Park. Applications will be open from today (April 6) to April 24.

     The Arts Fun Fair (Phase 11) will be set up at the Kowloon Park Loggia from June 7 this year to May 30 next year. The stalls will run from 1pm to 7pm on Sundays and public holidays.

     A total of 30 stalls will be operated to sell handicrafts or provide arts services such as photography, painting, calligraphy, sketching, etc.

     Application forms will be available from today at the Kowloon Park Management Office on 1/F, 22 Austin Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

     Interested parties should submit completed application forms with copies of proof of any professional knowledge in the relevant fields and samples of handicrafts or artworks (not more than three pieces) to the Kowloon Park Management Office on or before 6.15pm on April 24. The Arts Fun Fair vetting panel will assess the applications based on the variety, quality, creativeness, artistic merit and attractiveness of the handicrafts or arts service. Relevant professional skills of the applicant will also be considered.

     Successful applicants are required to pay a registration fee of $100 and a security deposit of $1,000 for each stall. The security deposit will be refunded upon the completion of the agreement on condition that the stall operator has operated the stall for not less than 60% of the total business days of the agreement. They are also required to effect and keep in force public liability insurance with an indemnity of a minimum of $6.5 million during the agreement period.
