Police today (April 2) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Sheung Shui last month, in which an 86-year-old woman was injured and later died in hospital.
About 9.45am on March 1, a light goods vehicle driven by a 52-year-old man was traveling along a one-way carriageway within Choi Yuen Estate. At Choi Chu House, the 86-year-old woman dodged the light goods vehicle but slipped over and fell to the ground.
She sustained head injuries and was sent to North District Hospital where she was certified dead at 10.22am the following day.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North, are proceeding.
