Police are investigating a traffic accident in Hung Hom this morning (April 2) in which an 88-year-old man was killed.
At 6.17am, a public light bus driven by a 53-year-old man was travelling on Wuhu Street toward Whampoa. At Dock Street, the vehicle hit the 88-year-old man who was crossing the road.
The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with head injuries and was later certified dead at 6.39am.
The public light bus driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are under way.
