Hosted by Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (Cyberport), the sixth Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum (DELF) was held successfully today (March 24). With the theme of "Innovate Locally, Collaborate Globally: The Success of Wellington, NZ", DELF 2009 featured visionary speakers including a group of renowned international film-makers and industry experts to share their insights and experiences in digital entertainment.
DELF 2009 attracted about 300 local and international attendees from all walks of industry including government officials, academics, creative artists, entrepreneurs, and ICT professionals, to meet at Hong Kong Cyberport and learn what will drive the next wave of the rapidly evolving and fast growing digital entertainment industries.
"Wellington is a perfect example which puts much value on creativity and being successful. In DELF 2009, we are proud to bring the audience the valuable experience and inspirations of New Zealand's experts and visionaries in the digital entertainment industry. We hope that Hong Kong will have more opportunities to co-operate with them in the future," Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited Mr Nicholas Yang said.
DELF 2009 is organised by Cyberport under the full support from the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer of the Hong Kong SAR Government. Co-organisers include China Game Publishers Association (Hong Kong), Hong Kong Comics and Animation Federation, Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association, Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Industry Support Centre and Hong Kong Film Development Council. The forum is also supported by more than 30 well-known industry associations, educational institutions and public organisations. DELF 2009 is one of the nine core events of Entertainment Expo Hong Kong.
