The Labour Department will hold a two-day job fair at Central Atrium, G/F, Olympian City 2, tomorrow (March 10).
Some 80 companies will participate in the two-day event and offer more than 7,000 vacancies. About 40 companies will set up counters each day and conduct on-the-spot recruitment. Companies joining the job fair come from various industries including catering, retail and property management. Vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions such as shop supervisor, manager, cook, waiter/waitress, shop assistant, security guard, customer service officer and so on. Job-seekers who want to know more about the vacancies may visit the department's website on Interactive Employment Service (www.jobs.gov.hk).
About 70% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs. The majority of the vacancies offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $11,000 and 72% of these vacancies require Form 3 educational level or below. More than 70% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience.
Job seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews. The Labour Department will conduct on-the-spot registration for job seekers.
The job fair will be held from 11am to 6pm at Central Atrium, G/F, Olympian City 2, 18, Hoi Ting Road, West Kowloon. Admission is free.
