The Labour Department will hold a job fair on 1/F, Lei Yue Mun Plaza, 80 Lei Yue Mun Road, Yau Tong, Kowloon, tomorrow (February 27) from 11am to 6pm.
Twenty-nine companies will set up counters and offer more than 2,500 vacancies for on-the-spot recruitment. Companies participating in the job fair come from various industries including catering, retail, business service and property management. The vacancies cover a wide variety of positions such as shop supervisor, cook, waiter/waitress, shop assistant, sales, cleaner, security guard and clerk. Job seekers who want to know more about the vacancies may click to the department's website on Interactive Employment Service (www.jobs.gov.hk).
About 75% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs. The majority of the vacancies offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 and 99% of these vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below. About 85% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience. Job seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews. The Labour Department will conduct on-the-spot registration for job seekers.
Admission is free-of-charge. All members of the public are welcome.
