Immigration Service staff receive long service awards (with photo)

     More than 140 disciplined staff of the Immigration Department were today (February 13) awarded Hong Kong Immigration Service Long Service Medals and Clasps.

     The awards were presented at Immigration Headquarters by Director of Immigration Mr Simon Peh Yun-lu.

     Mr Peh expressed his appreciation to award recipients who had dedicated years of loyal service to the department, displaying exemplary performance.

     The award of the Hong Kong Immigration Service Long Service Medals and Clasps was to honour those with exemplary character and conduct who had rendered long and meritorious service as members of the Immigration Service.

     Principal Immigration Officer (Information Systems (Production)) Mrs Poon Leung Kit-ching and four other officers were awarded the third clasps to their medals for 33 years of service with the department.

     The second clasps, signifying 30 years of service, were presented to Assistant Director (Management and Support) Mr Corrado Chow and 21 other officers.

     Acting Principal Immigration Officer (Visa Control (Policy)) Mr William Fung Pak-ho, and 79 other officers received first clasps, marking 25 years of service.

     To mark 18 years of service, 37 other officers received the Hong Kong Immigration Long Service Medals.
