In response to media enquiries on Government's response to the press statement issued today (January 12) by the League of Social Democrats, a Government spokesman reiterates that the LegCo Rules of Procedures protect LegCo Members and all participating public officials alike from exposure to offensive and insulting language. The community also expects rational debates in the LegCo Chamber. The Government looks forward to working with LegCo under the principle of mutual respect to promote Hong Kong’s development.
