Upon learning a car crash in Hai Feng, Guangdong yesterday (December 26) which involved three (one male and two female) Hong Kong residents, the Immigration Department immediately contacted the Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong (GDETO) to follow up the incident, a Government spokesman said today (December 27).
It was initially learnt that a man and a woman died, while another woman was injured in the accident.
Officers from Immigration Department and GDETO have arrived in Hai Feng to render assistance to the victims and their relatives, such as facilitating the early return of the victims to Hong Kong.
Any Hong Kong residents who need assistance while outside Hong Kong may contact the Immigration Department's "Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Unit" by calling its 24-hour hotline at (852)1868.
