Government issues travel advice on visiting India (November 30)

     In view of the latest attacks in Mumbai, India, a spokesman for the Security Bureau (November 30) advised Hong Kong residents to avoid unnecessary travel to India. Those who are already in India should attend to their personal safety and keep themselves abreast of the situation there.  

     Hong Kong residents in India who need assistance may call the Hong Kong Immigration Department's 24-hour hotline at (852) 1868 or the Chinese Embassy / Chinese Consulate General in India.  The telephone numbers of the Chinese Embassy / Chinese Consulate General concerned are as follows:
