¡@¡@The Centre for Food Safety announced today (November 26) that the processing of applications for importing poultry meat and poultry products from the whole United Kingdom is now back to normal following the lifting of import suspension on Oxfordshire and Warwickshire counties with immediate effect.
¡@¡@The Centre suspended processing of applications from Oxfordshire and Warwickshire counties following confirmation of highly pathogenic avian influenza H7 cases in poultry farms in June this year.
¡@¡@"In view of the control measures taken by Oxfordshire and Warwickshire counties and the fact that there are no other cases of avian influenza reported, we decide to resume processing of applications," a spokesman for the Centre said.
