CE starts his visit in UK (with photos)

     The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, touched down in London this morning (November 18, London time) for a three-day visit before departing for the 16th APEC Economic Leaders¡¦ Meeting in Peru.
 
     Mr Tsang began his busy day with a meeting with the Leader of Conservative Party, Mr David Cameron. He then updated political and business leaders on the latest developments in Hong Kong at a lunch of the Hong Kong Association.

     The Chief Executive will call on the British Prime Minister, Mr Gordon Brown, at 10 Downing Street in the afternoon. They will exchange views on the current global financial situation and issues of common interest.

     In the evening, Mr Tsang will address the Annual Dinner of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
 
     Tomorrow (November 19, London time), Mr Tsang will meet the Chairman of the UK Financial Services Authority, Lord Adair Turner, and attend a luncheon to be hosted by the City of London Corporation.

     In the afternoon, he will speak to academics and students at a lecture of the London School of Economics and Political Science and officiate at a promotion event for the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
