The Government today (October 28) received written requests from Mr Henry Fan to take a leave of absence from his chairmanship on the Standing Committee on Disciplined Services Salaries and Conditions of Service, and the Advisory Committee on Admission of Quality Migrants and Professionals, and from his membership on the Advisory Committee on Post-office Employment for Former Chief Executive and Politically Appointed Officials, the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee, and the Standing Committee on Judicial Salaries and Conditions of Service.
The Government has acceded to Mr Fan’s request with immediate effect. During Mr Fan’s absence, Mr Barry Cheung will be Acting Chairman of the Standing Committee on Disciplined Services Salaries and Conditions of Service, and Mr Lai Kam-tong will be Acting Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Admission of Quality Migrants and Professionals.
