The Government published in the Gazette today (October 17) proposed amendments to road works being planned in Ngau Tau Kok.
The amendments, which are made to accommodate detailed design and construction works, include the following:
(i) relocation of the proposed footbridge connecting the future elevated walkway at Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate to the existing footbridge at Kwun Tong Road (near the existing Block 8 of Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate);
(ii) permanent closure and demolition of an existing staircase connected to the proposed footbridge; and converting it to form a part of the proposed footbridge connecting with the existing footbridge;
(iii) construction of a staircase connecting the proposed footbridge with the future district open space; and
(iv) revision of the limits of the works area.
The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:
(i) Central and Western District Office,
Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;
(ii) Kwun Tong District Office,
Public Enquiry Service Centre, Lower Ground Floor, Kwun Tong District Branch Offices Building, 6 Tung Yan Street, Kwun Tong; and
(iii) District Lands Office, Kowloon East,
10th Floor, Yau Ma Tei Carpark Building, 250 Shanghai Street.
Any person who wants to object to the proposed amendments should write to the Secretary for the Transport and Housing, 16th Floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before December 16.
