Government House open to the public on October 19
*************************************************

Government House will be open to the public next Sunday (October 19) from 10am to 5pm.

"Apart from taking a stroll in the blooming garden, visitors are also welcome to see the Drawing Room and Dining Room where the Chief Executive holds important official functions and receives dignitaries. Government House is open to the public twice a year. Nearly 6,000 visitors were here last time on March 9," a government spokesman said.

Visitors should make full use of public transport. They are requested to enter the garden through the east gate at Upper Albert Road and leave through the main gate. Depending on the length of the queue, the Police may announce a cut-off time for lining up outside Government House to ensure that those in the queue can be admitted in time.
