Public health talks to address parents' concerns on renal stones

     The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     To address the health concern and queries of the public towards consumption of melamine tainted milk products, the Hospital Authority will organise two public health talks tomorrow (October 4) and on Sunday (October 5).

     Paediatricians and renal specialists will explain symptoms of renal stones; how assessments are being conducted and the possible treatment; and the latest situation in Hong Kong.  While doctors will answer queries of the audience regarding the issue at the health talks, clinical assessment and consultation for individual patients will not be provided on site.

     Details of the health talks are as follows:

Time and Date:
1. 2.30pm-4.30pm, Saturday (October 4)
2. 10.30am-12.30pm, Sunday (October 5)

Venue:
Lecture Theatre, M/F, Hospital Authority Building, 147B Argyle Street, Kowloon

     The health talks will be conducted in Cantonese.  Admission is free but registration is required by calling 2300 7733.
