Public co-operation sought to keep HK free from rabies (with photos)

To help villagers in the New Territories to license and vaccinate their dogs, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) inoculation teams visit remote villages regularly to provide licensing and vaccination services as well as to give advice on dog control. Since January 2007, the department has visited over 3,000 village households. Picture shows AFCD staff (right) using a scanner to detect the microchip planted in a dog.
